A simple chain care routine

A clean chain makes shifting smoother and saves money on parts. My routine takes about fifteen minutes.

I wipe the chain with a rag after wet rides and do a proper clean once a month. Degreaser, a brush and plenty of patience are all it needs.

Lubricate sparingly, one drop per link, then wipe the excess off. Too much oil only collects dirt and turns into grinding paste.
